Four fun short stories... each of which could have been expanded into an entire book. I've already purchased his next (hopefully not last) book.

The four short stories in this volume are each a gem! They are science fiction, and quite good science fiction, as the author is a noted physicist. But they also address very human questions of love and ethics with deep understanding. Dr. Dingus includes particle physics, quantum entanglement, and relativity in these stories, but he makes these difficult concepts engaging rather than difficult.

This book was a breath of fresh air! Peter Dingus succeeds in taking science fiction to a higher level. This is not a cute little sci -fi book aimed at children but a well though-out verse combining the human experience with the physical world in which they live. I felt as if I knew the characters in the stories and could understand what they were going through; regardless of the situation. The author pulled off writing a humanistic story in a sci- fi genre. I am excited to see any future writings from Peter Dingus!

This is old school sci fi where the science is primary and the plot and characters are there to serve the science. That said, the science is fantastic - original, thought provoking, and creative. If you, like me, are the kind of person willing to look up “double slit experiment” on YouTube because your understanding of quantum mechanics is shaky so you can understand better one of the stories, then you will really enjoy this book written by a creative physicist!
