A retelling of Beowulf, giving more credence to its supernatural elements than historians are willing to speculate on, would fit such a story into what genre?

Beowulf is considered a classic. Depending on how the story was retold it should fit anything from mythology to pulp horror.

Would there be any forum visitors to this thread interested in a three part horror epic wherein an unwitting, innocent, and isolated community is being pursued at night by a supernatural menace, and wherein the two outlander protagonists (outlander's in the style of Beowulf) must battle not only the creatures but the denial and paralizing fear of the people . . . ?

If you want to serialize a story on this board I invite you to do so. There are a fair number of people who drop by although many don't post.

Posting the story as a serial is interesting but it is a three part epic the first part of which is composed of some 60,000 + words.I don't know how feasible it would be to post pieces of it in a forum enviroment

How about a teaser to get them started? (If you do, start a new thread in Discussions).

Yes, I would be very interested to post a teaser - if our visitors are interested... Again, if they are interested I invite them to let me know directly, either by posting here, or if they want to keep it more direct (and more private) my email: greg_ski7@yahoo.com. So far I see that this particular Horror thread has had 70 visits so I invite such visitors to let me know their preference before I clog up this board with more ethernet electrons.
