The kind of consumer-pop culture that we've established over the last two decades has left us in an inferior state of competitiveness. Recently, an American venture capitalist has made a documentary that compares the US school system to those of India and China--the comparison is scary. Out of 29 developed and developing countries, the US ranks 25th in academic achievement. Here's a trailer for Two Million Minutes, which is the time a student spends in a four year high school.
