It is often said that SETI--the guys looking for extraterrestrial signals by intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, have never seen anything. Well, not quite. In 1977, a radio telescope in Ohio did see something for about 72 seconds that people have yet to explain satisfactorily. Now it may be that this was not extraterrestrial intelligent life, but whatever it was, it was damn interesting. Even if there are many advanced technical civilizations out there, the chances of seeing (hearing) anything over the short time we've been looking, given the noise, distance in space and time of interstellar objects (star systems), the chances are mathematically fleetingly small. But nevertheless, here it is, the WOW Signal--enjoy!
